Want to incorporate student voice and choice into your curricular area through project based work? Come to this session! In the project we will use as an example students were given the opportunity to create a mixed media project and PSA video. After learning about creating art with different mediums all quarter, students worked with a partner to pick a topic they felt passionate about. As they were building their art they also created a PSA video using their art to give a message. Students used iPads and a variety of applications to tell this story. Then each pair of students created a QR code of their PSA video to display right next to their art work. We will show examples and help you think of ways that you could incorporate student choice and student voice into your curricular area through project based work. We will also be showing and detailing examples from a Science and Spanish classroom.
